YOUR INFORMATION / YOUR CHOICE
Privacy & cookies.
Here’s how this Porthos Media website uses information and how to change your choices.
When you contact us or request a quote
We use the contact details, media quantities and project information you provide to respond to your request and manage your project. Please do not put passwords, payment-card details or sensitive personal documents in an enquiry form.
Essential website storage
Secure session cookies support order forms and signed-in website management. Your cookie preference is saved in your browser for up to six months. These functions help the website work; declining marketing cookies does not prevent you from browsing or requesting a quote.
Our website traffic statistics
We collect basic page-visit statistics on our hosting account: visited page paths, broad device type, referring website and campaign labels. A random session identifier groups visits; it is not your name or email address. If you allow visitor statistics in Cookie settings, we also store an anonymous browser identifier for up to 90 days to estimate unique and returning visitors. This identifier is not linked to your contact record. Declining optional cookies removes that identifier and stops future returning-visitor tracking. The traffic system does not receive form contents, full referring-page addresses or full query strings. Detailed visit records are kept for up to 90 days.
Our traffic statistics respect supported browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. You can also exclude this browser from our traffic reports. Hosting providers may keep separate operational logs needed to serve and secure the website.
Optional Meta marketing cookies
If you accept marketing cookies, the Meta Pixel sends page visits and browser information to Meta to help us understand our Facebook and Instagram marketing. The Pixel is not loaded before acceptance. We have not enabled automatic advanced matching of form contact details.
Use the Cookie settings button in the footer to allow visitor statistics, allow both visitor statistics and marketing cookies, or decline optional cookies at any time. Declining stops further Pixel tracking; it cannot undo information already received by Meta. You can review Meta’s privacy policy for information about its processing.
Images, videos and other providers
Some images, fonts and videos load from external providers, including Wix’s media hosting, Google Fonts and YouTube. Those services receive connection information when your browser requests their content. Social-share links take you to the platform you choose; Instagram story cards are generated in your browser.
Free guides and newsletters
A free-guide request records your email, optional first name, requested guide and source page in our customer-request history. These records remain until you ask us to remove them, subject to any necessary record-keeping obligations. The PDF opens on this website after you submit the form. Free guides are offered as a newsletter signup incentive. The form asks you to choose newsletter topics and give consent before downloading. You can unsubscribe at any time.
If you subscribe, we store your chosen topics and a record of when and how you consented. Subscriber details remain until you ask us to remove them; a minimal consent or withdrawal record may be retained to honour your choices. We do not send campaigns automatically when you submit a form.
Your browser remembers a dismissed newsletter invitation for seven days and a successful signup to avoid repeatedly prompting you. An anonymous rate-limit fingerprint helps protect these forms from abuse; it is cleared after a day.
Newsletter choices
Newsletter consent is separate from a project request. You can withdraw newsletter consent by using an unsubscribe link in a message or contacting us. Project enquiries do not subscribe you automatically. Guide signup includes explicit newsletter consent.
